Farmers' Protest: Richa Chadha Applauds As Women Protestors Get Free Sanitary Napkins At Singhu Border

Farmers' Protest has intensified at various borders. Many celebrities too have come out in support of the protesting farmers. Diljit Dosanjh, Mika Singh and many more are using social media to extend their support to the farmers. Richa Chadha, who is very active on social media, is also sharing her views and comments on the ongoing farmers' protest. Recently, she applauded the move of making sanitary napkins available for free to female protestors at Singhu Border.
As a picture of sanitary napkins being made available in boxes made it to the internet, Richa Chadha tweeted, "Ohho dil jeet liya. That’s very thoughtful!" Indeed, it is very thoughtful. Earlier, Richa had tweeted about why the farmers are protesting. She wrote, "For those who are wondering what the farmers are protesting, read- India has been facing an agrarian crisis for the past 2 decades, 12000 farmers commit suicide every year, that’s over 30/day! And yet, this is the biggest protest by people who put food on our plates."
Apart from her, stars like Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Sonu Sood, Riteish Deshmukh and many more have also commented on the Farmers' Protest. Standing in solidarity with the famers, global icon, Priiyanka Chopra had tweeted, "Our farmers are India’s Food Soldiers. Their fears need to be allayed. Their hopes need to be met. As a thriving democracy, we must ensure that this crises is resolved sooner than later."
